People can approach a counsellor in different ways.
Some people only need 1-2 sessions for some direction, ideas or assessment.
Some people need 4-6 sessions to learn new skills in symptom management.
Other people want a longer term process over many months to work on deeper emotional issues.
The choice is yours.
Sue Bartho has been trained in cognitive behaviour therapy, but has been influenced by solution-focused and emotionally-focused ideas. Her conviction is that how we think and feel about our core sense of self will influence every aspect of our lives. She is a spiritually sensitive therapist, who believes that we benefit from being connected, not only with ourselves and our loved ones, but also with God.
